Tap-to-Pay

Tap to Pay allows you to make secure, contactless payments using your device, such as a smartphone or smartwatch, without entering a PIN for small transactions. Payments are processed quickly and safely through supported payment networks.

1. Setup Instructions

  • Add a payment method to your wallet by linking your bank account or card.
  • Ensure NFC/contactless payments are enabled on your device.
  • Verify your payment method using the authentication method prompted (e.g. OTP, fingerprint, or face recognition).

2. Making a Payment

  • Wake your device and open the payment app or wallet.
  • Hold your device close to the contactless payment terminal.
  • Authenticate the payment if required using your chosen method (fingerprint, face recognition, or PIN).
  • Wait for confirmation on your device and/or the terminal that the payment has been successfully processed.

3. Security Features

  • All Tap to Pay transactions are encrypted and tokenised to protect your account and card information.
  • Your actual card details are never shared with merchants during payments.
  • Every payment must be authorised by you to ensure security.

4. Managing Tap to Pay Settings

  • Select a default account or card for contactless payments.
  • Enable or disable Tap to Pay at any time from your app settings.
  • Update your linked payment methods as needed.

5. Troubleshooting & Tips

  • Make sure NFC is enabled and your device has sufficient battery.
  • Keep your device close to the terminal until the payment is confirmed.
  • Ensure your app and device software are up to date for optimal performance.
  • Contact support if payments repeatedly fail or are not recognised.
