Holding orders on Wollette POS allows clerks to pause a transaction and resume the sale later on. This allows clerks to serve other customers and resume the transaction where they left off.
Holding orders
After you scan products into a basket, you can hold an order for later processing using the hold order button at the bottom of the screen.
Once clicked you will be prompted to add an optional note and to confirm holding the order.
Held orders can be viewed from Held Order button in the terminal screen of POS.
Please note that when an order is held with discounts or with Wollette QR applied, these will need to be reapplied when the order is released.
Releasing held orders
To release a held order:
Log into the POS as normal and into a terminal, click held orders from the screen or from the three dots at the bottom of the screen (mobile).
Find the held order from the list or search by order ID. When you click an order, a preview of the order will be shown.
Click Release order at the bottom of the screen to release it to the order page.
If any discounts were applied when the order was held, it will need to be reapplied at this stage.
Complete the order and checkout as normal.
Removing held orders
To remove a held orders:
Log into the POS as normal and into a terminal, click held orders from the screen or from the three dots at the bottom of the screen (mobile).
Find the held order from the list or search by order ID. When you click an order a preview of the order will be shown.
Click cancel order to remove the held order and return the items to the stock.
