Your points scheme decides how many points a customer earns when they spend with you, and what those points are worth when they spend them back.
Before you start: Your merchant account needs a currency set (this comes from your locale settings). To exclude products from a policy, those products need to exist in your catalogue first.
Where to find it: Sidebar → Quick access → Points scheme. The page is headed Point scheme.
You have exactly one points scheme. You can't create a second one, and there's no way to delete the one you have — you edit it instead. The first time you open the page you'll see the set-up form; after that you'll always see the scheme itself.
You'll see "Point scheme saved" and the page reloads into the normal points scheme view: a narrow card on the left with your logo and scheme name, and a card on the right holding your Award policy and Redemption policy.
Each policy card shows the rate as a short sum — the money amount and the number of points, with = between them — so you can check at a glance what you've set.
| Field | What to enter | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Name | A name for the scheme, e.g. your loyalty programme's brand name | Required |
| Grant | The number of points earned | Required; must be a positive number |
| For minimum spend of | The spend that earns those points | Required; an amount, up to two decimal places, in your account currency |
| Convert | The number of points the customer redeems | Required; must be a positive number |
| To | What those points are worth | Required; an amount, up to two decimal places, in your account currency |
The window closes and you'll see "Point scheme saved". The new name appears on the left-hand card straight away.
The logo replaces the placeholder. The card notes Max file size: 1 MB underneath. To change it later, click the image again and pick a different file.
| Field | What to enter | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Logo | An image file | Images only; Max file size: 1 MB |
The window closes and you'll see "Award policy saved" or "Redemption policy saved". The rate in the card header updates immediately, and the new rate applies to sales taken from that point on.
| Field | What to enter | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Grant | Points earned (award policy) | Required; must be a positive number |
| For minimum spend of | Spend that earns them (award policy) | Required; an amount, up to two decimal places, in your account currency |
| Convert | Points redeemed (redemption policy) | Required; must be a positive number |
| To | Value of those points (redemption policy) | Required; an amount, up to two decimal places, in your account currency |
Excluding a product from the award policy means buying it doesn't earn points. Excluding it from the redemption policy means points can't be spent against it. The two lists are separate — exclude a product from both if you want it left out of the scheme entirely.
Each change is saved in turn as the list is written back. You'll see "SKU added" when a product has been added, and a message naming the product when one is removed — "Product … removed from excluded SKUs". The box is briefly greyed out while it saves.
If you close the dropdown without changing anything, nothing is saved and no message appears.
