What are the conditions for coupons to apply?
In Wollette Merchant Dashboard, coupon rules only apply when specific conditions, set during coupon creation, are met at the point of sale. These conditions ensure that discounts are controlled, targeted, and used as intended.
Coupon code or name must be entered or scanned
Customers must present a valid QR code or barcode with their coupons applied at the point of sale.
Coupons must be in the valid date range
Each coupon includes a defined start and end date. If the coupon is used outside this period, it will not be valid or accepted.
Discount type and value must match
Wollette supports the following coupons:
- Based on gross price of the transaction
- Based on the purchase frequency of a line item
- Based on the quantity of a line item
- Based on transaction frequency.
The value must match the rule set under discount type and value of the discount.
Eligible products must be in the basket
The coupon will only apply to items listed under Applicable SKUs. Items not included will be excluded from the discount calculation.
Terms and conditions must be met
Any custom conditions listed under Terms & conditions (e.g. minimum spend, new customers only) must be satisfied for the coupon to apply.
Discount code entry is required
A discount code must be manually entered at checkout or scanned by staff to trigger the rule.
