Managing coupons
Coupon rules in Wollette allow you to offer targeted discounts that can be applied at checkout using a code, barcode, or QR scan. These rules help increase customer engagement and support promotional campaigns. There are four types of coupons:
- Based on gross price of the transaction
- Based on the purchase frequency of a line item
- Based on the quantity of a line item
- Based on transaction frequency.
You can manage coupons for your store in the Merchant Dashboard.
Creating Coupon rules
1. Navigate to Coupon Rules
Click on Settings in the sidebar to and navigate to Coupon rules. This will display all existing coupon rules and allow you to create new ones.
2. Create a new coupon rule
Click the “+ Add Coupon rule” button and fill in the required fields:
- Coupon name
- Type
- Start and end dates
- Terms and conditions
- Discount code
- Excluded SKUs
- Discount amount.
3. Save and activate the coupon
Once complete, click Save. The coupon will now be available to scan or enter at checkout and will apply according to your settings.
Editing or updating existing coupon rule
Wollette allows you to modify existing coupon rules so you can adjust discount values, change validity periods, or update product eligibility at any time.
1. Navigate to Coupon Rules
Click on Settings in the sidebar to and navigate to Coupon rules. This will display all existing coupon rules and allow you to edit or update coupons.
2. Select the coupon to edit
- Scroll through the list to find the coupon you want to update
- Click on the coupon to open its details
3. Edit the coupon details
You can update:
- Coupon name or code
- Discount type
- Discount value
- Exclude any SKUs
- Start and end dates
- Usage limits or redemption rules.
4. Save changes
After making your updates, click Save. Your changes will take effect immediately and apply according to the new settings.
How do I delete a coupon rule?
Deleting outdated or unused coupon rules helps maintain a clean and accurate promotions list and prevents unintended discounts from being applied at checkout.
1. Navigate to Coupon Rules
Click on Settings in the sidebar to access your business configuration options. Click on Coupon Rules. This will display all existing coupon rules, active and inactive.
2. Find and select the coupon to delete
- Use the list to locate the coupon you wish to remove.
- Click the three dots then delete and confirm to delete the coupon rule.
- Once deleted, the coupon will no longer be valid or available for use in transactions.
