How can I test if my coupon rules are working correctly?

Before you start: First, ensure the coupon has been created in the Coupon rules and includes all required details such as:

• Coupon name
• Discount type and value
• Start and end dates
• Applicable products
• Any terms and conditions.

Before activating a promotion, it's good practice to test your coupon rules created in the Merchant dashboard in Wollette POS to ensure the discount applies as expected and meets all conditions.

Testing a coupon rule

Steps

1. Log on to a terminal in the point of sale and start a new order.
2. Add the products which are eligible for the coupon's conditions to the basket.
3. Add the coupon code at checkout. Wollette POS will automatically apply the discount if all conditions are met.
4. Verify the discount is:
   • Applied to the correct products
   • Showing the correct amount or percentage
   • Respecting any limits (e.g. one-time use, exclusions, date range).

1. Review the rule setup in the Coupon rules menu.
2. Double-check date ranges, eligible items, and usage limits and edit as necessary.
