Creating and managing offers

An offer pushes a coupon to a targeted group of Wollette customers — you set the discount, then say who should see it and where.

Before you start: Your account currency needs to be set, and any products the discount applies to should already exist in your catalogue.

Where to find it: Sidebar → Quick access → Offers.

The page lists your offers with the columns Name, Offer type, Valid from and Valid to.

Creating an offer

The form is a four-step wizard: Basic information → Coupon details → Base targeting criteria → Offer rules. Move through it with Next; Back returns to the previous step and Cancel on step 1 closes the window.

Steps

  1. Click New offer. The New offer window opens on Basic information.
  2. Enter an Offer name, then pick Available from and Available to. Available to stays locked until you've chosen a start date, and must be at least a day after it. Add a Description if you want one.
  3. Click Next. Wollette checks the name isn't already in use before moving on.
  4. On Coupon details, choose a Discount type. The boxes below change to suit it:
    • a fixed amount off particular products → Discount amount, Applicable products, Minimum quantity, Maximum quantity
    • a percentage off particular products → Discount percentage, Applicable products, Minimum quantity, Maximum quantity
    • a fixed amount off the whole order → Discount amount, Minimum amount, Excluded products
    • a percentage off the whole order → Discount percentage, Minimum amount, Excluded products
  5. Enter a Discount code and, if you'd like, a Discount description.
  6. Set Coupon valid for and Validity period unit — how long the coupon lasts once a customer has it — and fill in the Terms and conditions.
  7. Click Next.
  8. On Base targeting criteria, click into Location and type the address you want to centre the offer on. Keep typing: the box only starts looking for matches once you've given it a fairly complete address, so a town name on its own usually returns nothing. Pick a result from the list.
  9. Set the Radius and choose a UnitMile or Kilometre.
  10. In Allowed countries, choose the countries whose customers can receive the offer. Your own country is filled in for you; you can add more or remove it.
  11. Click Next.
  12. On Offer rules, add any of the optional filters described below to narrow the audience further. You can leave all of them empty, in which case the offer goes to everyone inside the area you set on the previous step.
  13. Click Save.

The Offer rules filters

Each filter is a section with its own heading. Gender and Age range are simply multi-select boxes — pick as many values as you like, or leave them blank. The other three start empty; click Add to open them, and use the bin icon beside the heading to clear a filter you've added.

The product search inside Line item purchase frequency only works once you've completed Location, Radius and Unit on the previous step, so fill those in first.
