How are categories linked to my stock items?

Categories in Wollette organise your stock items into logical groups, making it easier to manage inventory, navigate products during sales, and generate reports.

Product organisation

  • When adding or editing a product, you can assign it to one or more categories. This links the product to those categories within the system.
  • Each product appears under its assigned category.
  • Categories help group similar products, such as beverages, snacks, or age-restricted items.

Sales and navigation

  • At the point of sale, categories structure the product selection screens for faster search and checkout. Staff can quickly filter or browse products by category to add to cart.

Reporting and insights

  • Wollette uses categories for sales reports and insights based on product groups, helping you understand performance by category.
