Adding, updating and deleting products

Wollette's Merchant Dashboard allows you to add and easily update product information such as pricing, descriptions, categories, or stock settings for your POS devices. This ensures your inventory stays accurate and aligned with your business needs.

Adding a new product to your store

1. Open the Sidebar and navigate to Stock

From the Merchant Dashboard, click Stock on the left menu. This will display the list of stock in all your branches. If the stock menu hasn't been added to the sidebar, navigate to settings to access the menu where you can also add it to the navigation.

2. Click +Product

Click add product and populate the product details such as:

  • Product name and description
  • Category or subcategory
  • Selling price and cost price
  • Stock tracking options
  • Barcode or SKU
  • Images (max 1Mb)
  • Age restrictions or tags.

Then click save, then the product will appear in the Stock list.

Once the product has been added to the stock list, you will also need to add it to the branch for it to appear for purchase in the POS.

Adding a new product to a branch

  • To add a product to a branch, navigate to the branch then stock.
  • In the top right, click Add Product where the product list will appear.
  • Click the product you want to add to the branch and enter the number available and if it is auto-updatable. If selected, once the product is purchased it will be taken off the total inventory.
  • Click save once you have entered all the correct values.

Editing an existing product

1. Navigate to the Stock menu

To update an existing product, navigate to the Stock menu from the Merchant Dashbaord home screen.

2. Select the Product then edit the details

Search to find the product you want to update. You can search by product name and the list will automatically filter. Click on the three dots beside the product in the list to open its details view.

In the product details screen, you can edit:

  • Product name and description
  • Category or subcategory
  • Selling price and cost price
  • Stock tracking options
  • Barcode or SKU
  • Age restrictions or tags
  • Attributes.

Make any necessary changes directly in the editable fields then click save. Your updates will be reflected immediately across the POS system.

Deleting a product from a branch

If an item is no longer sold or stocked in a particular branch, Wollette POS allows you to remove it from your branch's inventory to keep the product list clean and up to date for sales clerks.

1. Navigate to the Branches menu then Stock

To update an existing product from a branch, navigate to the Branches then Stock menu.

2. Find the Product to delete from the Branch

Find the product you want to delete from your branch using the search bar. Click on the three dots beside the product then Delete and confirm when prompted.

The product will be permanently removed from your branch but still remain in your overall merchant account.

Deleting a product from your stock

If an item is no longer sold or stocked in your stores, Wollette POS allows you to remove it from your inventory to keep your product list clean and up to date.

1. Navigate to the Stock menu

To delete an existing product, navigate to the Stock menu and search to find the product you want to remove from your store.

2. Find the Product to delete

Find the product you want to delete from your stock using the search bar. Click on the three dots beside the product then Delete and confirm when prompted.

The product will be permanently removed from your stock list and no longer appear in searches or to be added to a branch.
